How I Got Started

My coding journey began in 2021, when I started programming with Python and built websites using Flask. That experience sparked my passion for web development.

Learning & Growth

While learning backend development with Node.js and Express, I also picked up JavaScript along the way. Each step deepened my understanding of how web applications work.

My knowledge of React and databases is still growing, and I’m excited to keep expanding my skills through hands-on projects.

Why I Love Coding

Programming is creative problem-solving for me — building something useful from scratch is empowering. Every project, big or small, challenges me and helps me grow.

Academic Challenges

School was tough, with concentration difficulties and poor grades. These struggles taught me resilience and motivated me to pursue learning on my own terms.

Social Isolation

I often felt lonely with little social support, but coding became my refuge — a way to connect, express creativity, and rebuild confidence online.

Mental Health Journey

Major Depressive Disorder

On September 17th, 2024, I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. Without therapy or close support, I’ve relied on medication and self-care to cope.

This journey has shaped my empathy and inner strength, fueling my determination to keep learning and creating despite challenges.

Timeline

  • 2021 – Began programming with Python and started building websites using Flask, laying the foundation for my web development journey.
  • 2022 – Expanded my skills by learning JavaScript alongside Node.js, diving deeper into backend development and creating dynamic web applications.
  • 2023 – Focused on enhancing backend expertise with Express, while beginning to explore frontend technologies to build full-stack projects.
  • 2024 – Faced personal challenges with a Major Depressive Disorder diagnosis, using coding as both a therapeutic outlet and a way to maintain focus and growth.
  • 2025 – Currently advancing my knowledge of frontend frameworks like React and improving database skills to become a well-rounded full-stack developer.

Quotes That Inspire Me

"Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can."
"Code is not just syntax—it's expression, logic, and problem-solving."
"You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great."

What’s Next?

My journey is far from over. I’m focused on mastering core web development concepts and improving my understanding of frontend frameworks and databases. I want to keep building projects and solving real problems with code.
